Brevard Achievement Center (BAC) is pleased to announce that three new board members have been added to its existing board slate.  The latest to join BAC’s board are:  Debra Pavlakos, market executive for Brevard County at TD Bank; Ellen P. Brown, project manager at Kennedy Space Center (KSC) for Aerodyne Industries/Jacobs Technology Team; and, Kamen Jenkins, government affairs and employment relations manager at Wuesthoff Health System.

Debra Pavlakos has spent over 30 years in the banking industry, most recently at TD Bank where she is responsible for commercial and small business segment customers in the Brevard market.  Prior to this position, she worked in leadership roles at Wachovia (now Wells Fargo) and SunTrust.  Pavlakos also serves on numerous boards including Junior Achievement, the Florida Tech Women’s Business Council, Economic Development Council of the Space Coast and United Way of Brevard and holds an Associate’s degree from Eastern Florida State College.

As project manager at KSC for Aerodyne Industries/Jacobs Technology Team, Ellen P. Brown works on the Test and Operations Support Contract (TSOC) to provide overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing and launch operations for the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System. She has worked at Kennedy Space Center for over 27 years. Brown is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, a 2014 graduate of LEAD Brevard and holds an MBA in Aviation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

A lifelong resident of Brevard County, Kamen Jenkins is the Government Affairs and Employer Relations Manager at Wuesthoff Health System. Jenkins is actively engaged in the community through numerous organizations including as a board member of the Brevard Public Schools Foundation. He also serves on a variety of committees like the Central Florida STEM Committee, Brevard County Community Coalition on Healthcare’s steering committee, as well as the Melbourne Regional Chamber of East Central Florida and Cocoa Beach Chamber’s Government Affairs committee. Jenkins received his Associate’s degree from Eastern Florida State College and studied business administration at the University of Alabama.
