Michele D is an independent spirit with down syndrome who embraces life and wants to make a difference in her community. She is active in Special Olympics, and Special Gathering of Indian River, a ministry dedicated to serving the special needs community.
Michele loves being part of the BAC community and recently wrote an article for the BAC newsletter where she eloquently states …” what I have learned about BAC is that we are all family here. We take care of each other, we help each other, and learn from each other. Whether we are working in the bays or learning in our classrooms, we work hard every day as a team.”
Michele applies that strong work ethic and kind heart in all her interactions. She has a great sense of humor, and she loves working in the production department at BAC.
It is no wonder she recently received the RESPECT of Florida award as BAC’s Rookie of the Year for 2019 for her outstanding work and dedication!
“Hi Everyone! My name is Michele D. I have been coming to BAC for a while now and what I have learned is that we are all family here. We take care of each other, we help each other, and we learn from each other. Whether we are working in the bays or learning in our classrooms, we work hard every day as a team. BAC has taught me that every day is a new beginning in our journey through life. All of us are blessed to have BAC in our lives and we will always keep BAC in our hearts. The staff always goes above and beyond for us and we are truly grateful. I am so lucky to be a part of such a wonderful team. Thank you to the staff and my BAC family for making the world a better place. We love you BAC!!”
Michelle has achieved recognition for her hard work!
