Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our 33rd Annual Color In Motion Arts Festival is taking on a whole new look! With our schools and the Studio at BAC under COVID-19 protocols, this quality arts programming is being provided in an entirely new platform: we’ve gone virtual!

It is disappointing we aren’t able to gather at the zoo as we have for so many years, however, we are thrilled to tell you the Brevard Zoo’s Education Department jumped at the chance to participate with some very enlivened activities for your students. We are still working on a few more surprises as we develop this new version of the BAC 2021 Color in Motion Virtual Arts Festival. You and your students will not want to miss it!!

The teacher-friendly concept we are creating will consist of various modules accessible via the BAC website, allowing classrooms to set their own schedules. The modules will consist of assorted art stops with a focus on Zoo inhabitants – even some peeks behind the scenes! It is our intent to provide teachers with a very user-friendly way to incorporate the zoo and the arts into the school day. It may be something your art teacher may want to use.

We’ve attached a mock-up screenshot of what the site will look like.  We anticipate launching the event on April 5, 2021.

To ensure that you will receive art supplies, the deadline for registration is February 16, 2021. The art supplies will be delivered in late March, 2021.

We are confident this version of the BAC Arts Festival will provide an opportunity unlike any other for your students to experience all facets of art with our zoo friends.

We offer a tremendous thanks to our donors and sponsors, whose gifts allow access to the arts for people of all abilities. A special round of applause is extended to the dedicated members of our BAC Arts Advisory Council and our BAC Board of Directors for their guidance and support.

Thank you for making this program possible for artists of unique abilities!
