A BAC Parent shares why they hope others will give to BAC.

My wife Kathy and I are passionate supporters of Brevard Achievement Center.  And there’s a very important reason why. Families like ours would be lost without the services provided by this organization for people with disabilities. They make such a huge difference in the lives of our children.

We’re asking for your help give to BAC because your donation keeps these vital resources available.

Give to BAC to help people with disabilities

Our story may help you understand why we feel so strongly about supporting BAC.  After our son Joiner graduated from a special education program in Orlando, we didn’t have a clear path for his future. Kathy and I desperately searched for opportunities, wondering if he, and others like him on the Autism spectrum with learning challenges, would have a chance to develop work skills or find employment opportunities.

Brevard Achievement Center answered the question. We relocated to Brevard County to give Joiner access to their programs and haven’t looked back. BAC has given Joiner the chance to work, and to form lasting relationships with co-workers and community members. He and his friends learn daily living and computer skills and even volunteer in the community. We witness firsthand every day how the Adult Day Training programs at BAC help Joiner be more self-sufficient and confident in his abilities to navigate life’s challenges.

Joiner is thriving, and he’s just one example of how BAC’s programs transform lives. Families and caregivers of the more than 5,000 individuals with disabilities that BAC serves each year experience it, too. That’s why it’s so important for BAC to maintain these invaluable programs for the coming year and beyond. Your donation can help do that.

A Gift That Lasts a Lifetime

BAC’s unparalleled services are truly unlike anything found across the state, giving people with disabilities the opportunity to achieve personal success and become a contributing member to their community. That is truly a gift that lasts a lifetime. Please choose to give to BAC.

On behalf of the families that currently benefit from BAC programs, and the many more to come, Kathy, Joiner and I thank you for considering a year-end gift to BAC. It is truly a gift that will make a difference. #powerofBAC
